Hands-On Fermentation Workshop + Lunch at Vale d’Orvalho Farm (Oct. 3)
Join Us for a Hands-On Fermentation Workshop + Lunch at Vale d’Orvalho Farm!
Step into the heart of Vale d’Orvalho, a serene family farm nestled between the city bustle and the Wild Atlantic Coast, for an immersive autumn experience. Together, we’ll transform the season’s harvest into nourishing fermented foods that will keep you energized through the colder months.
On this tailored experience, guided by our expert hosts Michèle and Nina, both passionate permaculture educators, you’ll learn the art of fermentation using locally grown, organic produce. From the satisfying crunch of harvested veggies to the delicate balance of flavors that define the fermenting process, this workshop is all about celebrating the bounty of the season while supporting your health and immunity.
Their outdoor kitchen, the farm’s heart, is where we’ll gather to learn, share, and connect in community. After the hands-on workshop, you’ll sit down to a farm lunch brimming with homemade ferments and freshly prepared dishes, crafted to nourish body and soul.
You’ll leave not only with a jar of your own homemade ferment but also with new skills, ideas, and a deeper connection to nature and food.
More About Vale d’Orvalho: Hosted by Michèle, Samuel, and little baby Jorge, Vale d’Orvalho is their peaceful homestead where they live simply and sustainably, regenerating the land to provide a habitat for native wildlife. They’re excited to share this journey of self-sufficiency and community with you.
