Family Morning in the Forest Garden (Oct. 13)
Join Us for an interactive Morning in the Forest Garden at Vale d’Orvalho Farm!
As autumn settles in and much of our veggie garden rests for the winter, it’s the perfect time to get active in our flourishing Forest Garden!
This family-friendly event offers a hands-on experience where we’ll plant a tree guild—combining herbs and bushes that will support the growth of our fruit trees. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about different plants and their properties, propagation and how to create and care for a self-sustaining forest garden.
The activities will be divided to suit both kids and adults. The children will enjoy a fun, guided exploration, while the adults dive deeper into forest gardening techniques and principles. The day will remain flexible, allowing everyone to enjoy the experience at their own pace.
We will close the morning with a hearty, seasonal soup in our farm kitchen.
Come connect with nature, learn together, and help our Food Forest grow!
A little more About The Farm
Vale d’Orvalho is the family farm and homestead of Michèle, Samuel and little baby Jorge.
"The farm is our little piece of wilderness in between the hustle and bustle of the city and the Wild Atlantic Coast. We embrace a simple and home-made way of life and strive to turn this once exploited land into a lush habitat for native wildlife. We love sharing this journey back to our roots with our wider community through gatherings, workshops and events."
