Join us for a nature walk!!

This nature walk will take you to discover the biodiversity and natural wonders of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, which was classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. We will take a trail up the mountain to the Moorish Castle to observe the diversity of native and exotic plants that grow in its wonderful forest. We will visit the exterior area of the Moorish Castle and learn about the history of this 10th century monument which was built during the period of Moorish occupation. Walking through trails down the mountain we will then visit the gardens of Vila Sassetti. The 19th century palace of Vila Sassetti was designed by architect Luigi Manini as the summer residence of Victor Sassetti. Along the walk, we will also enjoy wonderful views of the villas around the mountain and the coastline.
