Terrarium-Making Workshop for Kids (5+) and Parents (Oct. 22)
Escape your busy life and get in touch with your creative side by spending one hour with your child learning how to design, create & care for your own natural world in the form of an enclosed glass terrarium.
Terrariums are the ultimate harmony of when art meets science - they are fun, interesting & simple to make...and even easier to keep alive (yes, even you black thumbs!) . No prior knowledge needed.
In this hands-on workshop, you and your child will not only learn the steps to create your own living terrarium which you can replicate over & over, but you will more importantly learn WHY each element of the terrarium is important & how to take care of your new creation for many months & years ahead.
This is a calming, relaxing & fun workshop that will be the perfect antidote to your usually busy lifestyle.
IMPORTANT: Each parent/child team will have the opportunity to create one terrarium. These terrariums will at a later date be donated to the local elementary school.
