La Pia Percussina is the embodiment of Joe Mastrangelo and Marta Santoro's shared dreams, merging their diverse cultural backgrounds into a harmonious celebration of food, laughter, and, of course, exceptional wine. Their journey led them to the very farm they'd passed by countless times, and over the past nine years, they've reinvigorated it into a thriving oasis. Now, back in their beloved Tuscany, they eagerly invite you to join them around their table at La Percussina.
Your wine tasting adventure commences with a warm welcome from Marta and Joe, followed by an exploration of this enchanting vineyard, where whispers of Chianti Classico and San Casciano wines echo through the rolling hills. Discover the intricacies of winemaking, uncover the farm's rich history, and immerse yourself in the unique character of their wines.
As you continue, stroll through the picturesque Pia Park, a 6-acre woodland sanctuary crafted by Giacomo Pimpinelli, maternal grandfather of Piero Calamandrei, one of the authors of the Italian Constitution.
The wine tasting unfolds gracefully, accompanied by an olive oil tasting experience. Sample a trio of wines cultivated on the farm, including regional favorites like Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino, all expertly paired with a delectable light lunch that complements the wines: fresh ricotta cheese, a charcuterie board boasting assorted cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, and vegetables, elegantly accompanied by homemade jams, an array of bruschette variations, Tuscan classics, from panzanella to pappa al pomodoro and lastly, olive oil ice cream and cantucci, the perfect finale to a Tuscan culinary journey that leaves lasting memories.
