Granja Escuela - Family Experience (Feb. 2)
Join us for a memorable day at Granja Escuela Los Barrios, located in the beautiful Bay of Gibraltar. This educational farm offers exciting activities for the whole family, allowing everyone to connect with nature, learn about local traditions, and enjoy hands-on experiences.
Activities Include:
Farm Animals Tour (11:00 AM): A fascinating guided tour where you'll meet a variety of animals, including goats, pigs, chickens, and more. This tour is a perfect opportunity to learn about the animals in a fun and interactive way.
Carriage Ride Through the Forest (12:00 PM): Enjoy a peaceful and scenic carriage ride through the lush forest surrounding the farm. It’s a great way to relax and take in the beauty of the landscape, perfect for families to unwind together.
Cork Museum & Workshop (1:00 PM): Dive into the history of cork at the Cork Museum, where you’ll discover how cork is produced and its significance in the region. Following the tour, kids will have the chance to participate in a creative workshop to make their own cork crafts, adding a hands-on, artistic touch to the day.
Pony Ride on Lola (1:30 PM): For younger visitors, a ride on Lola the pony will be the highlight of their day. This gentle pony ride offers a fun and safe experience for children to enjoy nature up close.
Lunch (2:00 PM): Bring your own picnic to enjoy in the scenic areas around the farm.
Play Zone & Enchanted Forest (3:00 PM): To round off the day, enjoy free play in the enchanted forest. Kids will love exploring the magical trails and hidden spots in the woods, offering a fun, adventurous ending to this immersive day.
Transportation Information: For experiences without transportation, we can arrange it for those interested. The total transportation cost will be divided amongst the families who are interested and subsequently request this service. Approx. two weeks ahead of the event we will determine interest via a Poll on your Cohort Slack channel. Based on the interest received we will provide the precise cost per person. Once agreed, an ‚add on‘ price will be added for separate purchasing.
