Greek for Beginners: 9-Week Learning Journey
Embark on a comprehensive, fun, and interactive journey to learn Greek! Over 9 weeks, you’ll learn the basics of the Greek language, from the alphabet to real-life conversations, with engaging activities along the way.
Week 1: Master the Greek Alphabet and Basic Greetings
Learn to read, write, and pronounce the Greek alphabet.
Start speaking with simple greetings and introductions.
Week 2: Build Your Vocabulary with “To Be” and “To Have”
Learn words for family, professions, and nationalities in Greek.
Create simple sentences with “είμαι” (to be) and “έχω” (to have).
Week 3: Numbers, Days, and Time
Count from 1 to 100 in Greek.
Talk about days of the week and ask for the time.
Week 4: Colors, Shapes, and Descriptions
Learn colors and shapes to describe the world around you.
Use basic adjectives like “big” and “small” in sentences.
Week 5: Interactive Shopping Experience at a Local Store
Practice phrases and vocabulary for shopping in Greek.
Engage in real-world scenarios at a local store to build confidence.
Week 6: Everyday Expressions and Conversations
Explore useful phrases for dining, transportation, and daily life.
Role-play conversations to prepare for real interactions.
Week 7: Ask and Answer Like a Local
Master question words like “What?”, “Where?”, and “Who?”.
Practice creating meaningful questions and responses.
Week 8: Expand Your Vocabulary with Adverbs
Use words like “always,” “often,” and “never” to describe habits.
Speak about daily routines using your new vocabulary.
Week 9: Review, Practice, and Real-Life Dialogues
Reinforce everything you’ve learned with fun activities.
