Next, we’ll stroll by the Tarsanas, Syros' traditional boatyard, which has been the heart of wooden shipbuilding since 1860. We'll discuss this historic site and the artistry involved in preserving the ancient craft of ship construction.
As we continue, we'll explore the remnants of Ermoupoli's old abandoned factories, which once buzzed with activity and contributed to the island's economy during its industrial heyday. These intriguing ruins tell a story of a bustling past and the impact of industrialization on the local community.
