Join Emilse on a culinary adventure that goes beyond the basics! Designed for kids aged 8 and up, this ECA explores the rich flavors of Uruguay while drawing inspiration from global cuisines. Through hands-on activities, participants will gain confidence in the kitchen, experiment with ingredients, and learn how culinary traditions connect cultures.
Emilse, a passionate cook who has traveled the world, will guide the children through exciting, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity and creativity in the kitchen. Using fresh, local ingredients, kids will mix, shape, and explore new textures and tastes, all while having fun and gaining confidence in their own abilities!
What to Expect:
Hands-on Cooking Fun – Kids will get involved in every step, from mixing and kneading to rolling and plating their creations.
Exploring New Flavors – Tasting and experimenting with ingredients to understand how different flavors work together.
Building Kitchen Skills – Learning essential techniques like chopping, measuring, and cooking safely and efficiently.
A Creative & Supportive Space – Encouraging kids to explore, experiment, and enjoy the process—because cooking is about fun, not just perfection!
Each session is designed to empower kids to feel comfortable and adventurous in the kitchen, making cooking an exciting and rewarding experience.
Program Details:
Schedule: Thursdays, starting April 17th from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Sessions: 8
April: 17th, 24th
May : 8th, 22nd, 29th
June: 5th, 12th, 19th
Class Duration: 1 hour per session
Location: Education Center
Transportation: Not Needed
Ages: 8+
Minimum Participants Required: 2
Maximum Participants: 9
Terms & Conditions:
Deadline for Sign-Up: Thursday, April 10th at 12pm
Half-Term Break: No ECAs during the week of May 12th, as the education center will be closed.
Refund Policy: Families have up to 24 hours after the first class to decide to drop out and receive a refund for the remaining sessions. If the first session was attended, a one-off cost and a 10% processing fee will be deducted from the total reimbursed amount. After this 24-hour period, refunds will no longer be available.
