Community Giveback: Rescue Kitchen (Jan. 31)
Join us at our Rescue Kitchen project and experience the joy of making a meaningful difference in the community. As a volunteer, you'll get hands-on in the kitchen, preparing delicious and nutritious meals that will directly help those in need. This is not only an opportunity to volunteer , but also a chance to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for giving back. In this activity, we will also gain deeper understanding about challenges faced by vulnerable communities. Together, we can spread kindness and warmth through food, making a lasting impact on the lives of those who are struggling. Come be part of something special and help us create positive change in the world!
About Our Partner:
Scholar of Sustenance is a Bali-based nonprofit, founded in 2016, focused on reducing food waste and hunger. Operating primarily in high-tourism areas like Sanur, Kuta, Denpasar, and Legian, SOS collects surplus food from hotels, supermarkets, bakeries, farms, and manufacturers. Using motorcycles and cooling trucks to navigate Bali’s busy streets, SOS efficiently distributes this food to those in need.
In early 2023, SOS expanded to Jakarta to extend its reach, aiming to partner with more businesses in Indonesia's capital to combat food waste and hunger on a larger scale.
